I like the font used for 13 and 14. What font is this? I think the font suits the electronic feel of the record label in a few ways. However, if it's an already existent font, you'll need to either customise it in some way, or use it in conjunction with a graphic I think. For the graphics you have so far, I think the one in number 20 is the best. This is due to it sticking to the 2:1 ratio we talked about the other day, and it allows the text to fit nicely underneath it.

Yes I'm affraid that was a ready made font in photshop. Lack of inspiration drew me in to testing the word emit with various fonts on the machine. If required I can search the font on Monday.

Hi JB

I think number one is the more reasonable logo, not only does it show the waves of electricity sometimes considered with sound but it also shows the EMITING of electricity sticking to the original concept of the logo. Font 13 would probably fit in perfectly with this logo, however to be skeptical I don’t think there’s a lot of choice there and I would like to see more logos before making any final assumptions.

I’m glad to see that you have stuck to some important rules such as basic is better, I my self have tried to apply this throughout all of my logos so far, mine will be published sometime next week however there is over 100 so far so will take a while to upload them all.

Thanks, Martyn

Hey JB

I am really pleased to see that you are seeking feedback in this manor. I think that I am going to have to invest in a scanner and hopefully do the same!

I feel that the danger of this project is that initially we are all going to come up with very similar ideas as we have had the same brief and are all basing it upon education / training.

I think that you have something going on there with the play, pause, rewind etc. I would like to see more derivatives and development of that idea.

Agreeing with Tom on this one, I really like the idea that you have come up with in numbers 13 and 14. Although using a ready made font isn't exactly the criteria we're going for, maybe you could adapt the typeface slightly and combine it with some elements from the other logos you have designed.

I like the idea of putting the play, rewind, eject etc symbols with the name emit? Maybe you could concentrate on just one of these to go with the typeface?
